when your skills are global?

Did you know that with today's technology, merely searching for a job listing in local areas limits you to a geographic region when opportunities exist for careers across the country and potentially the world? Obviously if you perform a job that requires your presence, then looking for a job listing in local areas is appropriate, but if you have skills that are easily performed from a computer or phone, then why limit yourself to a job listing in local areas when your skills can be offered to the world. I often find Marketing Executives listing their resumes under a local area search such as "county of Los Angeles job opportunities", when their skills are clearly global.  Perhaps you feel if you list your resume under a job listing in local areas like "county of Los Angeles job opportunities", you will eliminate the possibility of having to relocate or travel extensively.  Not true!  Most job boards and resume submission services allow you to specify the type of job you are willing to perform and under your clearly defined terms.  By only placing your resume in a job listing in local areas like "county of Los Angeles job opportunities", you merely limit your opportunities and potential to make more money.
